In 2013 I was given the opportunity to work on a mobile game project called R.A.T., specifically to provide the entire soundtrack. It was pretty lofty for a kid who was just 17.

R.A.T.'s pitch immediately had me hooked: a side-scrolling stealth game in the vein of Mark of the Ninja, with a retro-futuristic aesthetic most prevalent in its Art Deco presentation and entirely mechanized cast of characters. The main story was about an unassuming little robot breaking free from the automaton hivemind (controlled by the eponymous R.A.T.). You had friends, you had a home, you had upgrades, you had games of slots - plenty of features for a game just designed for your phone.

It was all being designed for the Tizen competition going on back then, but sadly, didn't make the cut, and the project was abandoned. Many of the art and sound assets are still intact however, and so I present to you the music of what could have been.

The main tracks (with the exception of the start menu & credits) were designed to be looped, but a lot of them were based off of previously created songs that I retooled and often completely remixed for the game. Unreleased ones will be included in this release; others will be linked in the track info.
